Component Atlas · sourcing

What is this device actually made of?

Pick a device type and see the component categories it is built from, each one drawn from its real geometry. A catalog written by engineers, not a lead-gen page wearing a catalog costume.

Quick Search:

Engineering reference & supplier directory. Browse device types, the component categories they are built from, and publicly listed suppliers. Listed from public sources. Not contacted or endorsed by 10xAnd. Evidence ratings count checks against public sources — how they work.

How this is organised

Component categories are canonical and device-agnostic. Hypodermic tubing shows up under both reusable instruments and needles, but it has exactly one page — device pages reference it rather than copying it. 16 categories are currently shared this way.

Every drawing here is generated in-repo from the same numbers the category is about, so a cross-section cannot quietly disagree with a spec table. None of it is traced from anyone's catalog art. The rules are written down in DRAWING_STANDARD.md.

What is here today

  • 14 device types covering cardiovascular, endoscopy, surgical robotics, active implants, orthopedics, drug delivery, diagnostics, and surgical instrumentation.
  • 220 component categories with CAD-accurate parametric vector illustrations and plain engineering descriptions of what each does.
  • Publicly listed suppliers for 110 of 220 categories (up to 3 each) with outbound website links, stated technical focus, locations, and an evidence rating: how many of 4 scored checks were found in public sources, each with its source and date. No lead times or MOQs: none came from the companies.
  • Stock Sizes & Dimensional References — complete ISO 9626 / ASTM A908 hypodermic tubing gauge charts (6G–34G across RW, TW, UTW, XXTW) and common stock sizes for PTFE liners, braid, marker bands, heat shrink, core wires, orthopedic K-wires, balloon tubing, Huber needles, and luers with one-click RFQ formulation.
  • Service Atlas — companion engineering services directory covering prototyping, 3D printing, CAD drafting, precision CNC machining, laser cutting, micro-welding, custom extrusion, coatings, testing, IEC 60601-1 safety, cleanroom CDMO, and sterilization.

What is coming

  • Vendor RFQ & Procurement Partner Tool — available at /rfq to formulate structured RFQ emails, attach CAD drawings/specs, and request supplier quotes.
  • Category pages with dimensional filters, and a cross-section glyph on each filter so OD, ID and wall stop being confused.
  • Multi-supplier online marketplace with full offering catalogs (dimensions, stock SKUs, custom configurations) and unified shopping cart for rapid R&D ordering.
